Culture and Critique: International Conversations on Social Justice

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese is hosting a two-day symposium with three distinguished international guests from Spain to think about the current sociopolitical state of affairs in the EU and the US.  The Dartmouth community is invited to engage with critical economist Miren Etxezarreta on the social goals of economic practice, with writer and cultural critic Luisa Etxenike on the role the arts play in democracy, and with architect Ángel Verdasco on the power of architecture for social transformation.
