"Tengo que hablar con un médico"

An immersive theater performance

A co-production of the Department of Spanish & Portuguese and the Geisel School of Medicine 

The cast is comprised of three Geisel School of Medicine students, who will play the doctors in four different scenes involving distinct medical situations, and there are four undergraduate students who will play the patients in these scenes. During the event four different medical situations will be presented, and the audience will view the first scenario together in the Oopik Auditorium (room 100 at the LSC) starting at 5:30 pm.

After the welcome and introduction and after the performance of this first medical scenario has concluded, the audience will be divided into three groups and then move between three adjacent rooms at the LSC (rooms 105, 200, and 201) to view three other scenes involving different medical situations. Therefore, the audience will change locations three times to see all the medical scenarios, and at the conclusion of each of those scenarios after the actors perform their skits the audience will be invited to interact with the actors and ask questions and offer suggestions, en español (or in English if they prefer).

El elenco está compuesto por tres estudiantes de la Facultad de Medicina Geisel, quienes interpretarán a los médicos en cuatro escenas diferentes que involucran distintas situaciones médicas, y cuatro estudiantes de pregrado del departamento de Español y Portugués interpretarán a los pacientes en estas escenas. Durante el evento se presentarán cuatro situaciones médicas diferentes, y el público verá el primer escenario juntos en el Auditorio Oopik (sala 100 del LSC) a partir de las 17:30 h.

Tras la bienvenida y la introducción, y una vez finalizada la representación de este primer escena médica, el público se dividirá en tres grupos y se desplazará entre tres salas adyacentes del LSC (salas 105, 200 y 201) para ver otras tres escenas que involucran diferentes situaciones médicas. Por lo tanto, el público cambiará de ubicación tres veces para ver todos los escenarios médicos, y al finalizar cada uno de ellos, después de que los actores presenten sus sketches, se invitará al público a interactuar con ellos, hacerles preguntas y ofrecer sugerencias, en español (o en inglés si lo prefieren).
