Against Silence: Poetry as Resilience and Refuge

Step into a space where words become sanctuary. Join us for Against Silence: Poetry as Resilience and Refuge, a special event in the FYSEP Summer 2025 program. Nationally awarded poet and Dartmouth alum Edgar Morales '24 will share his journey from aspiring engineer to acclaimed poet, offering an intimate reflection on identity, belonging, and the healing power of language through poetry. Come to Occom Commons on August 18, 5:00–6:30 PM to listen, connect, and find your own voice. The Poetry Corner will be open with journals and prompts—an invitation to breathe through your writing and discover the refuge of your own words.
