Unspeakable Truths: Basque Political Violence, Reconciliation and Community

Annabel Martín has edited a special issue of the International Journal of Iberian Studies (36.3), "Unspeakable Truths: Basque Political Violence, Reconciliation, and Community," a direct outcome of the international conference hosted at Dartmouth in April 2022.  Articles and interviews by scholars Larraitz Ariznabarreta,  Cristina Ortiz-Ceberio, Txetxu Aguado, Annabel Martín, Pilar Rodríguez, writer Luisa Etxenike, filmmakers Helena Taberna and Lur Olaizola, ETA and GAL victims Maixabel Lasa, Iñaki García Arrizabalaga, and Pilar Zabala Antano, the mediators who designed and implemented the restorative justice program with former ETA members Esther Pascual and Xabier Etxebarria, and by the former head of the Basque Government Office for Victims of Terrorism and Human Rights who spearheaded the initiative, Txema Urkijo.
