The film documents activist Helena Gualinga's efforts to raise awareness about the Kichwa people of Sarayaku's fight against oil exploitation in their territory in the Ecuadorian Amazon and their proposal for an alternative way of relating to nature.
Followed by a conversation via Zoom with the director moderated by the students in the Senior Seminar "Picturing the End of Extraction in Latin America" and Professor Martina Broner.
