Angie Cruz, Assistant Professor of English at the University of Pittsburgh, founder and editor of the journal Aster(ix), and author will lead a conference titled "Writer's Debt" on October 19th as part of LatinX Cultural Expressions.
Professor Cruz has authored two novels, Soledad and Let It Rain Coffee, and has published short fiction and essays in magazines and journals, including Callaloo, The New York Times, and Kweli. She is currently at work on her third novel.
The conference will take place on Wednesday October 19th, in Rocky 002 from 5:45 to 7:15PM. Dinner at La Casa to follow.
The Department of Spanish and Portuguese, the Leslie Center for the Humanities, the Latin American, Latino, and Caribbean Studies Program, the Department of English, and the Gender Research Institute at Dartmouth are co-sponsoring this event.
