"Skin of Glass," a documentary, chronicles São Paulo’s largest “vertical favela”— a 25 story office tower that was both a mid century architectural gem and the masterpiece architect Roger Zmekhol. The documentary reveals how the building mirrors Brazil’s political and economic turbulence over the past half century. It offers a poetic essay on displacement, a warning about the future of our cities, and a powerful portrait of grassroots activism.
Screening followed by a Q&A with director Denise Zmekhol - 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM in Carpenter 201F.
