The Robert J. Weber Fund Prizes in Honor of Professor Robert Russell

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese awards two prizes each year for an essay written in Spanish. The Hispanic Novel Prize is awarded for the best essay written by a full-time Dartmouth College undergraduate on the work of a Hispanic novelist. The Hispanic Poetry Prize is awarded for the best essay written by a full-time Dartmouth College undergraduate on the work of a Hispanic poet. These prizes were established by Robert J. Weber '58 in honor of Professor Robert Russell.

PRIZE CRITERIA | Essays must be 8-10 pages in length, double spaced, in 12" legible font. Essays will be judged on the originality of ideas, execution in Spanish, and scholarly promise. Prizes will be announced at the end of each academic year. Seniors and Spanish majors are strongly encouraged to participate.
