LECTURER AND WRITER KIANNY ANTIGUA PRESENTS LATEST NOVEL, Calédula

This past Saturday, February 18th, 2017, our Kianny Antigua, Spanish Lecturer, presented her latest novel, Calédula (Sudaquia Editores, 2016), at the Rafael Villalona Theater of the Dominican Commissioner of Culture, in New York City. Asdrúbal Hernández, Editor in Chief of Sudaquia, presented the book to the full house audience, and Erasmo Lara Peña, former Permanent Representative of the Dominican Republic to the United Nations and retired UN Diplomat, offered an introduction to the novel, highlighting its various intertwined stories. Mr. Lara Peña noted how deeply moved he had been by the novel’s ad rem topics, and how the reading transported him to his childhood.

As described by Carmen Bascuñán-Sedlace, Caléndula, is an “excellent story [that] takes you to a brutal, real and moving not so long ago world, but magical and sensitive at the same time.” ¡Enhorabuena!
